from the AP in the boot loader:

i adjusted it to:
tar -xtract tftp:/ Opens a new window
and i get the same error. this time, though, there is no activity in the solarwinds log.
on the folder's security, the everyone group has full control, as does the subfolderc1130-rcvk9w8-mx.124-25e.JAP where the IOS image is saved.
where else might permissions be an issue?
